For brands
crateist is an edit of sale and archive pieces from independent labels. We list markdowns from your own store and send shoppers straight to it to buy. We never sell, resell or hold stock.
How we list your pieces
- We read your store’s public product listing, the same prices and products any visitor sees, a few times a day and at a gentle pace. Our crawler identifies itself as CrateistBot and follows your robots.txt.
- Only pieces you’ve marked down appear, credited to you, and every click goes to your product page.
- Product photos load directly from your store’s image server. We don’t copy or re-host them.
- If one of our approved retailers sells your markdowns, those may appear under your name, linking to that retailer.
Opt out
Either works, and we’ll honor it without questions:
- Email hello@crateist.com (write to us) from your company address with your store’s URL. We remove your brand everywhere on crateist, including listings through retailers, within 48 hours, and stop reading your store.
- Or block
CrateistBot(or/products.json) in your robots.txt. We check it before every refresh.
